Christmas falls in winter on 25th December every year to memorializing the Jesus Christ’s birth.
WHAT IS CHRISTMAS:
Christmas is a sacred religious and cultural celebration. Christian community and the people of other region all around the world celebrate the Christmas with joy, faith, humanity and warmth.
The period of the Roman Emperor Constantine in 336 Christmas actually celebrated on 25th December. After some years Pope Julius I officially declared that date as the birth of Jesus.
HOW LONG CHRISTMAS IS CELEBRATE :
People begin to celebrate Christmas on the eve of 24th December a continued till New Year‘s day. Throughout these days many people visit their family and friends and distribute gifts and Christmas cards, have a party and enjoy singing the songs and Christmas carols and have feast.
People assemble themselves their houses, streets and churches with colorful lights and ribbons. They also decorated Christmas trees traditionally way usually an evergreen conifer such as spruce, pine or fir. But now a days people used artificial tree.
Children are most exited and wait for Christmas throughout the year for Santa’ s gifts. They believe that when they were sleeping; Santa would come at 12 mid night and fulfill their desires to keep gifts for them secretly.
25th December the Christmas designate as an official holiday for government or non government schools, colleges and organizations.
WHERE IS THE WORD CHRISTMAS COMES FROM :
“ Christmas “ comes from the Mass of Christ. Christ means [Jesus] and a Mass service [which is sometimes called communion] is where Christians remember that Jesus died for us and then come back to life.
THE REAL MEANING OF CHRISTMAS:
Many people believe that Christmas is the time for having a dance and party, eat delicious food, wish “Merry Christmas” to each other spend time with family and friends with having fun. Christmas is a message for all community to live in peace and love.
